About Warren Hill
Warren Hill is an Australian baby and home textiles brand based in Currumbin on the Gold Coast, Queensland. Founded by Tori and Paul, we design and sell quilted French flax linen baby play mats, nursery linen, family floor cushions and picnic throws.
The brand is named after a headland in England. Near where we grew up there's a headland called Hengistbury Head, and the hill that forms part of it is called Warren Hill.
What we make
Our best-known product is the quilted linen baby play mat — 115cm in diameter, round, made from 100% French flax linen with a padded polyester fill and certified to OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100. It costs $164.95 AUD.
Unlike foam interlocking mats and PVC-backed mats, the whole thing goes into a domestic washing machine at 40°C. That single difference is why the mat is so often bought as a baby shower gift and kept in use from the first weeks of supervised tummy time right through toddlerhood.
We also make a quilted cotton version at $109.95 AUD. It shares the same construction and the same washability; the finish is smoother and more uniform in colour, and it costs less.
Where our materials come from
The flax is grown in France. It is then sent to China to be woven, cut, pre-washed and sewn into play mats and carry bags by our socially-accredited manufacturing partners.
